Chunky Polenta Chips/Fries


These chips are crisp and crunchy on the outside, and fluffy and creamy on the inside. I served them with vegan chilli, but you can have them with anything you’d normally serve with chips. I used ready made polenta but you can of course make your own.


  1. One pack of ready made polenta (this made 18 chips)
  2. One tablespoon of oil.
  3. One teaspoon of light soy sauce.
  4. One teaspoon of dried mixed herbs.
  5. One teaspoon of smoked paprika.


Pre-heat your oven to 230℃ (220℃ for fan assisted) and cut the polenta into chunky chips, then place onto a lined baking tray.

Mix together the oil, soy sauce, herbs and spices. Using a pastry brush, brush the mixture onto each chip, turn each chip over and coat the other side.

Bake for 20 minutes, turn each chip over and bake for another 20-25 minutes until golden and crunchy.

Once cooked, serve with a sprinkle of salt.
